Independent Neighborhood News & Talking Points
22 Jan
This post is a “Two-for-One” …. The books are heavy, and they might also be heavy.
The Friends of the Willow Glen Library will be holding their next book sale on January 28. The prices are a bargain, and the Willow Glen Friends have wonderful donations to choose from. It won’t be long before the Library goes on hiatus, so you might want to stock-up anyway.
They are also in need of a few strong, able-bodied volunteers to help with the physical labor on Friday, January 27, from 4-6 pm (set-up) and on Saturday, January 28, from 4-6 pm (take-down). On Friday, the duties are moving tables from an outdoor shed into the library and setting them up, and moving boxes of books from the shed into the library. On Saturday, the duties are packing up unsold items, moving the boxes back into the shed, and taking down and moving tables to the shed.

Subject: Volunteers Needed for Willow Glen Library Book SaleA dedicated group of ladies has been doing this all on their own for a long time, and they’re simply worn out, so they think it’s time to get some help from some strong guys. That doesn’t exclude ladies from volunteering, but please have a strong back and be willing to work hard if you volunteer.
The benefit of all this hard work is that you get to see what will be on sale before anyone else does and purchase any items you like.
You should contact me at the WG Library ASAP if you would like to volunteer.
