I saw that slam piece too—and Jerry Brown says he should issue an apology. As far as I know— Rocky did go to Harvard- he did play football there— the Ivy league doesn’t give athletic scholarships but he did get academic scholarships during his undergraduate years and he graduated from Harvard. As far as professional football goes— he was recruited but didn’t make the cut for some Canadian team. Then he went to law school @ Columbia— This is all tit for tat ugly politics that most people want to get away from. We need to focus on issues– everyone that took the time to hear what he had to say felt he was a worthwhile candidate to seriously consider for this office. As far as work experience— he has far more credentials based on his experience in the L.A. City Attorney’s office to run the State Attorney General’s office which is basically like running a very large law firm. Jerry Brown is a career politician. He will make this job more a political soapbox than the true focus of representing the people and the state of California on legal issues that effect all of us. The bigger issue to me is: where are our future leaders in California going to come from if we keep handing yet another job to the same old guy?
