Mercury News Links Broken

Sorry, everyone … It appears as though the fancy new website that the SJ Mercury News unveiled yesterday refuses to play well with links to articles on the old site.
Never one to share its news articles in a friendly fashion anyway — the search engine on the old site refused to look at stories older than one week — the online Mercury News now returns an infamous “404 Error” if you click on a link embedded in earlier WGx stories or comments. This also seems to happen with real search engines (Google, Yahoo),whose search tools used to help you find older Merc content.
