Wow … That’s some bright red paint!

City work crews sprayed new red paint along corners and curbs up and down Lincoln Avenue this morning, adding a dramatic splash of color to your drive home. The crews use a simple pressure-sprayer to dispense the paint, which seems to be turning a brighter red with each passing year.

Crews also marked new parallel parking stalls along Lincoln near Malone. The growing need to delineate spots for cars along curbs and shoulders is amusing to some people, but perhaps parallel parking has become a “lost art” among drivers.

It’s not exactly a full-fledged WGx Traffic Advisory — yet … Hopefully the bright new paint won’t distract drivers from being safe and courteous along the neighborhood’s main drag.
