Independent Neighborhood News & Talking Points

A unique — if not a little confusing — three-way trade of retail space is taking place this month on Lincoln Avenue in Downtown Willow Glen. The news came a bit out of order in the WG Resident, but for readers keeping score at home, here’s how the batting order has changed:
As mentioned, Victoria’s Theatrical Supply has moved up and out of WG, relocating to a bigger space on San Carlos Street last month. Look for them at 1881 W. San Carlos Street, next to the Antiques Colony.
And Fleurish — winner of the WG Resident’s “Best Eclectic Retailer” title two years running — will be moving next door to expand into the space Victoria’s left behind, also known as 1331 Lincoln Avenue.
This leaves room for Calee’s Lilies, who needs to relocate out of the florist’s new WG location, even though she’s only been open five months. Map readers will be able to find Calee’s at 1335 Lincoln Avenue next month.
But wait, there’s more! … Since 1399 Lincoln Avenue will be available after Calee’s departure (which had followed Sylvan Learning Center, which relocated to 5415 Camden Avenue last year), WGNA eList rumors have suggested the corner space will be absorbed by Domus when it replaces Cooking Etc. later this summer. Stay tuned!
