You may have noticed that WGx stays on top of the City of San Jose’s building permit process, and passes along interesting applications and developments.

For some strange reason, it’s a tough month to be an evergreen tree in Willow Glen. Here’s a round-up of recent permit applications for tree removals:

  • A living Monterey Pine tree (9-foot circumference) on Cherry Avenue
  • An already-dead Deodar Cedar tree (108 inches in circumference) from a front yard on Dry Creek Road.
  • A currently-living Deador Cedar (also 108 inches in circumference) on on Lollie Court.
  • Another pine tree (98 inches) located on a property line between two houses on Tiffany Way.
  • And another live Deador Cedar (99 inches) along Curtner Avenue. Not even being located on the First Free Methodist Church of San Jose saves this tree.
