The SeniorNet computer technology classes hosted at the Willows Senior Center will be accepting enrollments this Saturday, October 6, 2007 …. Registration begins at 9:00 am for all courses except “Introduction to Computers” and “Basic Computer Skills” (registration for Introduction to Computers and Basic Computer Skills is at 10:30 am).
They are introducing a new four-week class titled “Basic Computer Skills,” to introduce students to some computer terminology, try to explain the difference between hardware and software, begin mouse and keyboard skills, and introduce some word processing (letter writing). This class is to be taken before the 8 week Introduction to Computer class which builds on the above learning. The Intro Course also covers creating, naming, saving, opening/closing files as well as editing (cut and paste). A preview of other courses and software is also given in this class
