Since WGx is published by a stay-at-home-father, it's easy to salute the WG Resident's story about dads learning to cook at the recently opened Cucina Bambino. The story ran in the pre-Father's Day edition of the weekly paper:

In the Cucina Bambini kitchen on Lincoln Avenue, there is always something cooking - including a number of specialty dishes by local dads.

Fathers are among those who have been invited to brush up their barbecue and stovetop skills alongside their children at the new cooking school.

"I wish I had this when I was a kid," said Rodger Shaheen, who accompanied his son Casey, 6, to a cooking class June 4. The two learned to make dough and sauce, with fresh ingredients, for an individual pizza.

Cucina Bambini, which opened April 26, gives parents and children an opportunity to learn basic cooking and baking skills, safe food handling, etiquette and nutrition.
