La Caminata, is a fun, day-long event filled with music, food and  activities along with an entire day of walking by students to make  money for our school.
Meanwhile, parents, family and friends participate in a number of  fun, canival-like games/activities as well as a silent auction of  goods and services donated by local businesses (beginning at  10:30am). La Caminata directly funds arts, technology, and other  enrichments at River Glen. The Caminata is organized by HABLA, the  
River Glen parent non-profit organization dedicated to providing all  River Glen students the best possible, most well-rounded education. At 1pm, River Glen will crown Councilmember Pierluigi Oliverio King  of Marti Gras. King Oliverio will announce prize winners to the over  
500 students, parents, and community participants gathered. This  year's theme is Marti Gras.  Wear your beads!
