In several years it is anticipated that the collection will grow to capacity. In addition, most of the whole San Jose Public Library collection of over 2 million items can be easily requested and sent to Willow Glen. The new branch is much larger and includes more seating and study tables and carrels. In addition, the new branch features spaces not found in the previous library, including a community room, a group study and a quiet study room, a Teen Room, Tech Center, reading room with fireplace, and Internet Café. The Children’s area will be much larger and focused on the towering oak tree which was preserved in the design.
