Saturday is the 16th Annual “Stamp Out Hunger” event. It’s national in scope, but the impact is very local: Your regular USPS letter carrier will pick up donated food items from your mailbox and arrange for them to be delivered directly to WG’s Second Harvest Food Bank.
They can’t really make it any easier!

One Response for "Express Delivery to Second Harvest"
What a great way for Willow Glen residents to show their support for this venerable community-based organization doing so much to aide local families in need.
Each and every year, Second Harvest does such an incredible job at providing quality food for needy families. But, the staff and volunteers of Second Harvest cannot do this work without the ongoing support of the people just like us in the community. Plus, our friends with the U.S. Postal Service are making it so easy for us to contribute!
So, if you can, take few minutes to go through your pantry to find some donations of non-perishable food items. Once you have filled a bag or two of donations, just leave it next to your mailbox on Saturday morning, May 10th. Your letter carrier will do the rest!
By making this donation, you can know that you have really done something valuable to help ease the burden of a neighbor trying to feed his or her children.
