Temperatures are climbing across the South Bay. It’s kind of unique this time around, because the extreme heat — and the accompanying US Weather Service advisory — will be mostly localized to the Santa Clara Valley:
After a very warm day today across the Santa Clara Valley … an additional increase of 3 to 5 degrees is forecast for Friday due to strengthening of the ridge and warmer temperatures aloft. The expected increase will produce highs around 100 degrees through much of the Santa Clara Valley including the City of San Jose. Temperatures on Saturday are also expected to approach 100 degrees.
So, you are cordially invited to leave WG for the next few days to beat the heat.
For quick weather updates, check out the Hacienda School Weather Station — it’s still reporting data, even with school out for the summer. The SJSU Weather Station is another option.
Unofficially, it’s 94°F at WGx HQ.
