Is it the month of March that comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb? Or is it April …?
No matter, cause we’ve got a new Lions Club in WG either way!
Since last year, members of the community have been working to form a new service club affiliated with Lions Clubs International.
And they are at it again, hosting an organizational meeting this Thursday, April 2. Organizer John Kelly invites you to attend:
You may remember last year that I was working to form a new Lions Club in Willow Glen. Well… we didn’t have critical mass to get this going at the time. We’re trying this again, and have gotten lots more support and fellow Lions working to make this happen.
What are you doing for community service? If you’re interested in a working for your community while enjoying the camaraderie of others, come join us. We’ve got a number of like-minded folks from Willow Glen coming to our first meeting Thursday night at the Garden Theater.
Thursday, April 2, 6:30 to 7:30 pm
Garden Theater, Suite 204 – Conference Room
1165 Lincoln Ave

The next meeting of the WIllow Glen Lions is this Thursday evening at 6:30 PM at the Willow Glen Library Community Room. We expect to reach our 20-member goal so we can fill out the charter paperwork.
Charter Members who join now (or within 90 days) sign the Charter and are recognized as such thereafter and gain the growth experience of leading and moving the new Club forward. The motto of Lions Clubs is “We Serve”, and, while members are very different in many ways, we share a core belief community is what we make it. This holds true for Lions Clubs worldwide, and it is why Lions help international understanding while serving the community.
Come join us if you’re interested in helping your community.
