Happy Independence Day!
Word has now spread across the city that the annual fireworks display in Downtown San Jose has been canceled due to budgetary issues.
So if you were one of those families that liked to avoid the downtown crowds and instead watch those fireworks from River Glen Park, you may be searching for a new way to celebrate.
WGx can’t offer any neighborhood suggestions, but SJ MetBlogs confirms that there will be a display of fireworks at SJ’s Municipal Stadium following tonight’s SJ Giants game against the Modesto Nuts:
There are no guarantees that you’ll be able to see the fireworks from anywhere in Willow Glen that was as convenient as RGP, but many residnets report they can always hear the regular fireworks shows that follow most SJ Giant weekend home games.
So, who can normally see them? … and will you invite the rest of us over?
